Possibly slightly off - topic, but this is an example of "What comics didn't you buy today because of the over inflated price?" (Well, apart from the fact I already have a perfectly good copy of this anyway!)

Outrageous!

It amazes me they have the cheek to charge postage. I sometimes let buyers off the postage if I make a nice little profit and i'm not talking anywhere near £195. They probably got it for nothing or a few pence so are already making at least £194 on the deal.
Genuine Mona Lisa painting for sale £30,000,000.00 plus £3.95 p&p.

Went to Warrington Antique market (I only found out by chance that they did these):
Mentioned to a vendor that I'm interested in collecting "June" annuals & comics - he said he had SIX at last fair in October & they all sold on the dot of closing time. Gaaah!
At charity shop in Bolton also had some old "Beano" annuals & later "TV21" too. This shop does get a valuer in though & the 1969 beano was going for £16. Wasn't tempted by any of these at the present.

The Dandy!

So if anyone knows anywhere in Hull that didn't sell out, please let me know!

Snap, Tesco haven't sold it for ages and my local village shop had sold out (they probably only had one, thanks to the thick drone-scum who work for the distribution company). I thought about starting at work an hour early and using the resulting 2 hour lunch break to go into Cambridge and try to find one. It's late opening tomorrow but that may not apply to Smith's, who will probably also have run out. Oh well, it's only a comedy comic, not that into them.

A Beano and a Dandy from Scope charity shop - they were both from this year so I already had them.

Can't get that final Dandy for love nor money in Bolton nor Liverpool yesterday.
Was never a big Dandy fan, but still would've liked to see the send-off.

Keep looking, they printed another batch, so the shops should get it in again.

I wonder if the new batch will say 2nd printing like american comics which means greedy rip off ebay sellers will charge even more for 1st prints.

The Dandy 3611 - since the comic is no longer printed.

It wouldn't have been out for another three days anyway. Digital version seems to starting numbering from scratch, so 3611 doesn't exist at all.

You would have done if you had got it via subscription (Saturday just gone in fact).
Makes sense about the resetting the issue numbers since the digital Dandy is a completely new entity to the original print version and not just a revamp.

I saw a copy of Graham Kibble-White's book on the history of comic titles. Decided against buying it in the end - I felt some of the information & comments were a bit inaccurate & a lot of it sctatches the surface on many titles. Not worth my money.

Also saw some 2000 Beanos & Dandy comic - but they were in my view past their best by then (I blame too much political correctness).
