Can anybody tell me the name of the artist who drew "Valda" and "Angel" for Mandy and also illustrated countless other stories over the years?

Kashagr will probably correct me if I am wrong, but the few Valda stories that I have seen have all been illustrated by Keith Shone. These have been done in a looser style than the draughtsman style that he used for Braddock in the early Victor. I had always thought that it was a case of an apprentice 'ghosting' his senior's style, but I was pleasantly surprised to be told by Kash that it was the same artist. He also illustrated a similar story called Madoc in the Boy's Papers, but the comic name evades me at the moment.

I think Dudley Wynn was the original artist on both strips.

Valda artist was certainly Dudley Wynn as Phil recalls. I can't remember ever seeing a Valda drawn by Keith Shone, in fact I don't remember any girls stuff drawn by him but maybe Col has spotted something I haven't seen. I think the artist you're after is Dudley Wynn though.

Have I got my styles mixed up again? I could have swore that some of the Annual Valdas were done by the same artist that did the few issues of Madoc that I have seen. And to compare them to Middlemarsh from Warlord, there certainly seems to be a strong correlation of styles.
