Some vintage original art.

I'd like to share some original art with you, there are some Wally Robertson wordless strips, one by Reg Parlett and one by Dennis Gifford. I have chosen small examples as they are easier to scan but even so as you can see i have had to break them up and/or lose pieces. The Peter Sellers art has some writing on the back which says Reg Parlett - but i don't know if its his own handwriting. I've no idea where the Gifford strip appeared probably in some small independent title anyone know?

I put the strips in correct order but comics uk has rearranged them. you can probably work out what is what. But glad to see they are now a manageable size, i didn't like the way they appeared on the forum at full size, felt i was creating an IT type hullabaloo. Using up space etc. Sparky Smith starts at the very bottom and then finishes second from top.

If you use the Attachement option instead of the <Img> </Img> tags you'll get it to display like this.

So those extra large pictures can be viewed as a thumbnail-type image, which are then clickable to display the full-sized image

Can I do that with tinypic? That's the only method I know at the moment as a bit of a novice with pc now-how.

You can actually Attach any image from your very own computer. No need for third-party storage sites.

Quick Guide:

When you start a post, or reply to a post, and the screen opens up, there is a section entitled Upload attachment that is immediately below all the buttons (i.e. Preview, Submit, Save, Cancel).

On the line that says Filename is a text box and a Browse button. Click on the Browse button.

You will then be able to navigate to wherever your image is on your computer.

Select your image.

Then press the Add the File button.

Finally press the Submit button and your image is there for the rest of the world to see.

Obviously, you can add more than just the one image by simply clicking the Browse and Add To File buttons.

Oddly enough I own the first panel of the very same Peter Sellers strip. On the back it says it was printed in an issue of Film Fun dated April 28th, though I'm not sure which year.

Hi Steve, The Reg Parlett moniker certainly is his, I've several letters from Reg with is name appended at that is certainly his signature.
The unidentified artist on the 'Moonlight Moggie' strip is Bertie Brown.
I'll check and get back to you Phil on the precise year in which that Reg Parlett Peter Sellers strip appeared.

The Peter Sellers strip in question appeared on the front and back cover of Film Fun No 2049 dated April 25th (not 28th) 1959. As it was published on the front and rear covers the printed version had an orange overlay added where appropriate to the original artwork.
