The July 2009 issue of Alter Ego has quite a lot about Marvelman including a recent interview with Mick Anglo (aged 92). Also an article by UK comic fan Derek Wilson (with photo - see scan). Anyone know who he is? The name is new to me. Does he contribute to these forums under a psuedonym?

I forgot to mention, Roy Thomas was asking about the other Super Hero and Fantasy strips from British Comics and was wondering if someone could submit an article on them for a future Alter Ego. Anyone interested? His e-mail address is in every issue of Alter Ego and he is quick in responding to them.

Mike Higgs and Phil Clarke did a book on British superheroes of the Fifties recently. I can't find anything online but it was advertised in a recent Crikey!

Yes I see Phil at the Comic Marts in London each month. The book's price (£75) also included a piece of original artwork and some other freebies. I prefer to spend £75 on old comics. Roy Thomas would probably want four or five pages with half a dozen or so illustrations. You could do that just from Lion, Tiger, Buster and Valiant.
