I got some spare time on my hands today so I thought I would run a poll for a bit of fun to see which is the most popular from the selection provided by Comics UK.

 You do know DFC has folded, and that forum hasn't had a single post since April? Anyway, I voted Beano.

No I didn't know that. :) Though it wouldn't have changed the list.

Easily the Beano for me. Of the others, I've only ever read Classics.

Not even The Dandy, Jonny?

I would have voted for the Dandy...until 2000AD came out in 1977.

I've never really read the Dandy. I've read the summer special, and about three of the normal (then weekly!) comic. However, I have 350+ Beanos, and several Classics, plus a big, 382-page Classics book.

I was tempted to vote for The Dandy or for girls comics (some wonderful stuff in the DCT ones in particular) but 2000AD just wins it for me, for the excellent run of issues between about 1979 and the mid eighties.

From that list, Commando for me as I still pick up a few issues here and there and the quality's still there.

Never been much of a humour title fan preferring the adventure and war titles. interesting to see what the poll produces.

I went for Girls comics although it was a close call vs. 2000 A.D. I love reading old girls comics and was a fan of girls novels as a boy, especially the Chalet School series.
