I agree - and I think they probably will, considering what Wallace says at the end of this week's Bash Street strip.

That might be because the updates at the website have been few and far between this week. They've also changed the message you get when posting a comment, to say that comments posted at a weekend won't show up until Monday.

Currently on The Beano's front page:

Sat 31 Oct - Halloween Horrors
Sun 1 Nov - Animation Pt 12
Mon 2 Nov - Fred's Bed
Tue 3 Nov - Painting
Tue 3 Nov - Promo
Thu 5 Nov - Nick Park
Fri 6 Nov - Car Boot Sale
Mon 9 Nov - Tales from the office

Now, if that's "the updates at the website have been few and far between this week" I hate to see other websites you visit.

8 updates in 9 days. I've said this before, and I'll say it again, what planet are you living on Digifiend?

I'm referring to the comments as well - they're being updated once a day and only on weekdays. And if you look further back, you'll probably find more like 10 or 12 updates in the same amount of time. Notice something missing amongst those updates? No writer's blog. That usually goes up on Thursday. There should also be a wallpaper download update but that's missing too, normally added on either Friday or Monday. There haven't been as many updates this week as there usually is.

I think the Q Bikes was mentioned because it was one of Nick Park's favourite strips. I believe this is why the Bash Street story was about the Wallace puppet being stolen, and why Wallace was reading the Q Bikes story at the end.

Well, most of those comments are meant to be made by children..... let's flog them for not replying often enough, annoying poor old Digifiend. :sorry:

Kids are surely more likely to post on weekends - all the more reason why they should update on those days. Anyway, at least writers blog turned up this week. I'm not expecting the usual wallpaper though since the cover was a Nintendo advert this week.

You're not going to get someone staying in or working over the weekend just to update kids' comments on the Beano site though, are you? It's understandable that they'll keep it to work days.

Digifiend knows that they work weekends, he said so on the "New Story Starting Next Week". He must know someone who writes the rosta.

Incidently, there's another hotlinked photo in that thread. I wonder who posted that up? :shhh:

As MikeC said, though, their system can probably pre-set times for features done in the week to go up over the weekend. Moderating kids' forums up to the minute is a lot more work.
