......it was a pen top-shaped thing that given away in one of the Fleetway comics, possibly Whizzer & Chips or Buster. If anyone remembers it, what exactly was it? Cheers, MG

I'm pretty sure it was in Krazy - it was a whistle shaped to look like a open lid. The idea was to blow the whistle in class, then, when the teacher looked round all she could see in your blazer was the top of a pen sticking out!

MG, the comic you are after is indeed Krazy Comic, but the free gift was given away in issue #26 and dated 9th April 1977.
