Can anyone i.d. the following artists. Both pieces are signed with initials, but I can't place who they belong to. Take a look and see if they are familiar. (Both pieces from the fifties).
Well, one of the pieces was too big, so I just added the signature (sig1). Looks like D.C.E.? Maybe D.C.L.. Ring any bells? Sig2 reads c.con.

The 'DCE' signature is definitely Derek Charles Eyles. I don't recognize the other one though - can you say where it appeared?

Hi Phil, thanks for that. Found loads of stuff about him on the net. He's definitely the man.

Meanwhile, here are the rest of the illustrators I need help with. All annoyingly familiar. Any help with names would be greatly appreciated. (All this lot, and the above, come from a Boardman Adventure annual from the fifties, btw. Not sure about the year).

I'm pretty sure the second one is Eric Parker.

That Cattle King style looks very familiar. But I am stumped if I can put a name to it. It look similar to the header art from Rover/Wizard for the cricketing stories about Higson (Is that character name right?). Or am I out for a duck again?

Sadly Col you are on your way back to the pavillion with your 'Higson' guess however(that is the correct character name though).
The 'Cattle King' illustration is by Steve Chapman.
