Crikey! We've Gone Digital!

After a lot of debate and a fair bit of planning, the decision has finally been made; Crikey! is relaunching in a digital format, initially with a 120 page Special to see if there's a demand for it. If it sells, the magazine itself will continue, probably as a bi-monthly. More details to follow shortly, but in the meantime, check out the ad on Youtube at:

Features this time around include Bryan Talbot talking about his new projects, Planet of the Apes, IPC's Whoopee! and the British Invasion of DC Comics!

I thought it was appropriate!

Looks great (and I love the soundtrack) - quick question...if I had any issues owed to me as part of my subscription when Crikey closed (and I have to be honest I have no idea if I did have any issues owed to me) would I get this free?

That would be a 'yes', I'd say. Though I believe Glenn made a point of refunding all unfulfilled subs when the print verson folded. If anyone slipped through the net, let me know and I'll sort it!

Forgot to mention: for those who want an actual, physical product, this issue will also be available on disc, though there'll obviously be a small additional cost for P&P.

I have to say I am not overly impressed with the site selling these copies (myebook)

I have paid the £2.99 and this is confirmed in my account status however when I try and view my ebook I am prompted for the book password which (to date) I have not been supplied with.

I guess it's only £2.99 but it's nevertheless still pretty galling to have paid but not to have been granted access to that which has been paid for.

Maybe I am missing something - anyone else managed to view their purchase?

I was waiting for other people to comment here (not on the publication but on the website and whether it functions smoothly). I was kind of wary because the site does not allow to view the 8 free pages as advertised in that very website.

Just checked that, and yeah, it asks for the password when you click on the "launch this myebook now!" link... I would expect it to show you the free 8 pages, then ask for the password to unlock the rest of the magazine. Clicking the image just gives an access denied message.

Perhaps the Free pages entry was supposed to say 0 and not 8?

And bubbadog, apparently six people have read it already.

EDIT: Just posted about this on the Crikey forum.

purchased it as well, no luck accessing it either, will keep trying and report back

The post-purchase email I got said....
Log into your account - my account - ecommerce - my purchases - click 'view' - click the cover of the book and enjoy.

If you can not see the pages of the book you have purchased access to, you will have to clear the memory cache of your internet browser.

but yeah no sign of a password

and now I can't even log onto the myebook website
