My other "field" is working in a warehouse.
There's also some design work, and tool/mould making.

Frank Langford was prolific in advertising and he signed his work. And Frank Dickens did some Smarties ads in the 60s.

One thing that fascinates me about looking at old magazines from the 1950s is the extent to which adult comic strips (often drawn by well-known artists) were used to advertise the most unlikely products - laxatives for instance!
Of course, Frank Hampson and Frank Bellamy both produced a certain amount of Advertising material over the years.

Years back whilst in some doctor's waiting room or other I spotted a couple of leaflets with some suspiciously familiar-looking artwork...
Step forward Ian Gibson!

John Bolton did a few adverts (in strip form) advertising films in the 70s ( I seem to recall a film called Roar and a Sinbad film also) - Tom Kerr did loads of wonderful Clarkes Commando (boys shoes) adverts also

i just love drawn adverts so much better than the photograph...more eye catching...more likely to read it..and good fun...quirky..creative..charming..
Gordon Bell did some adverts in the 90's Beano..
the comic page advert worked better with an actual comic artist..a bit like the Nigel P ones in The Beano at the moment...shame the characters have to be soo safe and on model all the time and nothing much happening..I'm sure Nigel has to do what they want...to be honest its the alien characters themselves that wind me up the most thats the real reason I don't like them..
