In the '60's the Victor had a series on the back page about George Cross winners. One of these was a chap who rescued men from a disaster at Hartley Bank Colliery near Wakefield. Any one have a copy of this and can tell me his name and the date of the accident?

the chap was GILLAN, James. Manager, NCS Hartley Bank Colliery, and the date was 31st October 1959.
