what are you aiming for?

I'm focussing on Buster comic from 1966 to 1974...love Reg Parlett...Leo Baxendale and Ken Reid...also the adventure stories....its nice to get some of the gaps and have a bit of a run...so you can follow the adventures...I like the size of Buster in this era...the artwork has more panels..also some of the humour strips are long running as well..
Going to the comic shop in London 30th Century on Tuesday to get some Buster and Giggle and Buster and Jets...maybe the odd early 60's Beezer...

I'm going for the full set of Acne, not many to go now. Also trying to get as many of the Viz rip-offs as I can find.

It's an interesting area collection-wise, always finding out about new titles. The vast, VAST majority of them are utter garbage, but I've found a few good ones along the way (Elephant Parts sticks out as one, as well as Lazy Frog).

Aiming to get all the Dandy Monster Comics that where printed and published whilst world war 2 was raging across the globe starting with the 1941 annual through to 1946 3 down 3 to go....

I hope to have a complete Chums collection one day, as each year's worth of weekly issues (while it was still a weekly, anyway) was also sold as a big hardback annual, the task is not as hard as it sounds. I already have volume 1 too! Though I was very lucky to get it.

I also want to get as much of The Boys' Friend as possible, bound copies occasionally show up (I have at least two that are the publisher's own file copies). I really want the story "The Peril to Come!", about a war between Britain and Germany from 1909, though it's probably guff. I also wanted the complete serial "Under Japan's Flag", but I have it now... So I suppose I ought to read it!

Im currently looking for some origianl artwork from DCT comics. I've seen a few online but haven't got the cash at the moment.

Depends on the artist/strip I suppose Watkins stuff is expensive though even his later work commands a premium price

Here's a Dudley Watkkins piece for £250. To be honest, I doubt if you'd get one any cheaper.

Wow, that certainly is a nice piece. I was looking recently online at some Buster and Monster Fun puzzle pages from the 80s, the thing is with me though is that I keep an eye on the item on Ebay for days, but I'm never there at the last moment to bid. They were hardly a 1939 Watkins, but some nice artwork none the less, Ive got to start somewhere. The price was the main factor - it started at 1p and ended at £5.50. They were certainly worth that for 4 pages of artwork. I'm saving up for a games console at the moment so looking for pretty cheap artwork if any of you spot some cheap artwork online for less than £20.00 from DCt and IPC let me know!

Sure about that? Several of the Our Gang members are doppelgangers for Snooty's pals, and there are multiple toffs in that strip dressed like Snooty himself. For example, the black girl isn't Polly, but does look like her.

I have about 80% of the Power comics but still need various issues of Smash and a lot of the early Whams. Would also like to acquire a set of Solo and TV Tornado. Have only a few each of those two.

I am still in the process of completing all of the issues of Sparky. (at the moment, I have about 80+ issues to collect, about half a dozen from the Ian Chisholm editorial era (1969 to 1977) and the rest from the early period (1965-1968) with about a dozen issues to get a better copy of. from the comics' run)

I'm slowly getting the complete run of the photo cover copy's of the 50s Roy Rogers uk issues , 50s short run sci-fi uk comics, non war pocket library comics I have an almost complete run of star blazers and Gemini 2000 comics , 60s jimmy Olson, lois lane and superman comics, plus victor,and hornet comics , and if I had a deeper pocket I would go for the complete run of solo, tv tornado , countdown /tv action comics, But. If I see any comics I like the look of and it's cheap I will buy it( and the wife can't see) the only comics I don't go for are football etc type
