I expect Kev F. will be able to shed some light on this...

The Comic Expo website says that the following Dandy & Beano artists will be in attendance... Paul Palmer, Dave Windett and Henry Davies... but who are these guys?!!!

I was rather hoping the legendary Nigel Parkinson (Dennis the Menace, Bea and Cuddle & Dimples), Tom Paterson (Sweeny Toddler, Hyde & Shriek, Minnie), Steve Bright (Bananaman and Beryl the Peril) or Wayne Thompson (Joe Jitsu and Jak) might be coming instead!

Any thoughts?

Paul Palmer has drawn many Minnie the Minx strips for The Beano. (He was the artist before the current one I believe, alternating with Tom Paterson). Dave Windett and Henry Davies respectively were the two artists who drew Korky before the current revival. (Dave is also working on a new strip for The Dandy. All three have worked in the comics industry for many years. Paul also does lots of funny stuff for Viz.

Nigel Parkinson has attended Bristol conventions before, but I don't know if he'll be there this time. (Come on down Nigel and I'll buy you a pint!)

Last time I went..I spend all my money in 2 minutes..my cousion was amazed how quickly I bought comics...part of it went on
2 volumes of the Popeye Segar original strip.......it was the time of Dennis the menace birthday.

I nearly didn't have enough money for the train fare home......

Henry Davies was the guy who cobbled together bits of old artwork together with some original artwork for Korky, Winker Watson (in one Dandy special), and one long Beano story. Didn't all match up very well, unfortunately.
