Great stuff Lew! It's rare to find such an early issue with the free gift intact - and fascinating to see how Radio Fun and Film Fun developed different editorial personalities in much the same way Dandy and Beano did. Given that Roy Wilson was such a notorious perfectionist I agree that it's hard to imagine him submitting that rather cursory 'George the Gee-Gee' strip.

As a matter of interest here's a later version of the same character from TV Fun, cheekily re-named 'Hoofer the TeeVee GeeGee'. I don't know whether it was a reprint but I'm pretty sure this is Roy's work: nobody else could have packed so much movement into the panel where Hoofer spots the escaped tiger!
