D'Adderio serial I am trying to find

I am trying to find a serial drawn by Hugo D'Adderio. It was about a girl with a mark on her hand that gives her the power to heal. An unscrupulous couple take advantage of it and her. They threaten to denounce her as a witch if she does not comply. It may have appeared in Debbie as D'Adderio drew another serial, "To Tessa, a Sister" for that title, though Tracy is another possibility. To the best of my knowledge he never drew anything for Bunty, Mandy or Judy (though I could be wrong).

It sounds very familiar. But if I have it, it's in Dutch, unfortunately. I don't have DC girls' comics.
Tonight I will have a look, because even if it is in Dutch, there is still the code of the comic and the date at the bottom of each page, so it would help you to know in which issues of which comic it was originally published.

Thank you, 3rd Childhood! I do remember seeing that episode. As I recall, Hetty's tactic of using her mark to scare off some bullies by actually saying it was a witch's mark rebounded a bit on her later.

Hello, this is probably Hetty with the healing hand, which started in Debbie about October 1981.

The serial Hetty With The Healing Hand appeared, as 3rdChildhood states, in Debbie. It ran between 448 (Sep. 12 1981) and 459 (Nov. 28 1981). I have only five issues containing this serial, 448-450, 453 and 454. I got the information about its concluding issue when I researched my missing issues in the British Library, but as I didn't have time to read any of the serials I'm afraid I can't tell you, Tammyfan, how this one ended.

Ok, thank you Phoenix. Maybe it was resolved with Hetty losing the power. Such things have happened elsewhere in girls comics.

Yes, that's how I remember it: she looses the power in the end.

I looked in the attic today, but unfortunately the boxes are behind many other boxes, so I was not able to get to Dutch the comic with this story. But I think the most important for you, was to know the title and where and when it was published, wasn't it?

Ah, so my guess was right! And what happened to the Maggs? Did they ditch her, did they get killed off, or did they go to jail?

I found Debbie 459, with the last part of Hetty.
A happy ending for her, she still has her birthmark and, presumably, power, and the Maggs have been banished to comic limbo.
