Wasn't the Barbie art for Tina done by A E Allen? There was a discussion about this on this blog some time back (this section, around December 2018).

I think Graeme did some too according to some Comic Art pages but I am not sure this was proved. I did nto mentioned him in my book as I could not confirm it 100%
Even an Spanis Artist did a couple for the Specials or annuals (Antonio Colmeiro).

At the time this was discussed in 2018, it was suggested that the identification of Graeme Thomas might be a mistake by The Illustration Art Gallery/Book Palace, who still attribute their Barbie art to him. Lambiek and Lastdodo both name Allen as the Barbie artist.

The annuals and specials used several substitute artists until around 1972, including Colmeiro, Jean Sidobre and another who signed as O A Novelle, but none of these looked much like the artist who did the weekly comics. Personally speaking, I can’t see a hair’s breadth difference between the style of the Barbie art in any of the Tina weeklies, or for that matter in the Princess Tinas.

RuthB, do you know who originally identified A E Allen as the main Barbie artist? I was under the impression that it was David Roach.

Yes, it was David as far as I know.

Thanks, RuthB. If David Roach has established that the Barbie artist was A E Allen, I'd be curious to know why the Cartoon Museum believe that this example was by somebody else.
