Can you identify this story (possibly from School Friend Annual)

Someone in the Today's Inspiration group on Facebook is trying to identify the source and the artist for some artwork they've acquired. The story concerns a girl called Mea (who knows about healing), her goat, Pad, a man called Brin and a sorcerer's stone. It looks like it might say "School Friend Annual 2" at the top of one page. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

This is from the story "The Sorcerer's Stone", from School Friend 1966 Annual. The artist may be Noel Gloesner. It looks quite a lot like his work, and he did do some other stories for Fleetway girls' titles around this time, but I can't be absolutely certain about this.

Excellent. Thanks for the quick response. I'll pass on the information.

For those interested, David Roach has identified the artist as Luis Arcas.

Thanks for letting us know, Robbie. A new name to me, but he seems to have been a noted and successful portrait and landscape painter. An interesting example of Fleetway's policy around this time of using established "fine" artists in its girls' titles, such as Septimus Scott, John Millar Watt and Fortunino Matania.
