Re: The Beatles Story
I've got a funny feeling it might be this:

I'm hoping there are more pages to the story than the ones show, particularly relating to my second post.
I'm not sure if any posters on here have this particular annual ...

Sir George Martin has died
The older I get, the more I appreciate what a phenomenon The Beatles actually were.
When you think every band has a set line-up, which although can change, you never get people associated with them as official members, which makes it more incredible that there was always a case for a fifth Beatle ...

Almost a week since the news broke.
Theres' not many pop-stars that would've made a great comic-strip, but he certainly would.

Day-trip to London 13th September
I'm off to London this coming Saturday just for the day. Can anyone recommend any good comic shops?
My interests are Fleetway, DC Thompson, Marvel & DC from the mid 60s, 70s to the early 80s.
I'll probably be going to Forbidden Planet and Gosh (in Berwick Street). I know central London fairly ok ...

Re: Things that only ever happen (and happen a lot) in comic
When the bully gets his come-uppance in the final frame, the whole street is laughing at him, so much that even brick walls jump up and down hysterically, and seagulls laugh by pointing at the bully with one wing, and their other wing on their belly!

It'll have to be Melchester!
Every Saturday afternoon would be brilliant!
I'd even buy a rattle and bobble-hat!

Re: The Beatles Story
Thank-you all for your responses.
I've tried trawling through t'net, and I'm now of the opinion that the nearest is probably what philcom55 posted.
Also, stevezodiac, are those bootleg cds readily available in London, mainly Camden? I don't get to the UK that often, and wouldn't mind getting a ...

Re: The Beatles Story
Yeah, it looks like my original reply got deleted somehow!
I know it defenently wasn't the Look-In strip, as I remember that at the time (81-82).
As The Beatles split in April '70, I've got a feeling it could be an annual from '71 to '77.
The only part I remember is Paul McCartney as a child ...

The Beatles Story
A bit of an odd one, but does anyone remember reading a comic-strip story of The Beatles in a girls annual?
To try and narrow it down, I read this Xmas '76 (I was on holiday in Newcastle at the time), so I think it would have been printed in a girls annual dated possibly from '69 to '76. I think it ...
