I saw him on the jubilee line in London many years ago. He had a carrier bag from a fancy dress company.

Re: Your Favourite Time for Having Comics

Another issue of Shoot! from the same year apologised for having fewer colour pages due to the electricity shortage. Obviously during the strikes of the 1970s

Re: Your Favourite Time for Having Comics

I wonder if members know that Donald and Mickey was advertised as a new comic in IPC titles but then came an announcement that the launch had been delayed. I was looking through some issues of Shoot on Friday and noticed a small piece in one of them apologising for its delay.

Re: Comics on TV

Last week on Dickinson's Real Deal a woman brought in 1100 silver age Marvel comics. Her uncle had died and they found them in a cupboard. The expert offered her £1650.00 but she declined and took them to auction where they were sold in five lots and she took home just over £3100.00 after deductions.

Now that tinypic has shut up shop can anyone suggest a similar image website? All the ones I've looked at require registration.

My mate Steve had two Hermes parcels from phil-comics, one was delivered to him but the second to a different address. He got it eventually.

Yes I got an email this afternoon saying Hermes had another parcel for me. The seller has four more lots of 33 western magazines. Good grief!

Re: What comics did you buy today?

I received a box of 33 real west type magazines from the sixties. I won two sets of 33 from America and they are not due until next week but Hermes delivered one box yesterday morning. They have separate tracking numbers. Is it usual for two parcels for the same address to be delivered on separate d...

Re: What comics did you buy today?

Just got back from Kempton Park antiques fair. Picked up six annuals for £10.00.
Sally Annual 1973, 74 and 75
Girl Annual 1965
Princess Gift Book for Girls 1963 and 1970.

Seller had a boxful of annuals for £10 the lot but too many for me to carry so just picked these six.
