I think eBay has a lot of good points,finding that missing issue you've spent years looking for is one of them.

However,one of it's bad points is it encourages the Greedy bidder who tries to monopolise each listing :x

With all these school-Themed strips,how many Thrashings/Spankings/Slipperings were handed out to these poor kids :lol:

I don't know if it's just me,but I always found it amusing to see the 'class Bully ...

I used to enjoy these School-Themed strips:

Creature Teacher from 'Monster Fun'
Gasworks Gang from 'Cor!!'
Whacky from 'Cor!!' (He never did manage to prevent getting his Backside
Tanned!! )
Greedy Pigg from 'Dandy' (A Personal favourite of mine)

Comics and sweets went hand-in-hand. :)
It brings back memories of going down to the newsagents on a Saturday morning to pick up a copy of the Topper and a couple of packets of Spangles to munch whilst reading.

Always liked the Butterscotch 'Old English' Spangles :D

Hi Beezer, Fret no more, details of Willie Getaway as follows-
He appeared in Sparky issues No316(6/2/71) - No451(8/9/73) and also turned up in a four page strip in the Sparky Book 1973 where he encountered the Loch Ness Monster. The artist throughout the series was veteran cartoonist Phil Millar ...

Unfortunately,I think I'll never know.
