I have some `Sparky` free gifts. Unlike Dandy or Beano in the same period (1965-74) Sparky gave out 23 sets of free gifts. I guess because unlike D & B it didn't sell as well.

I have a Judy comic dated 16th Jan 65 with a similar ad.

Re-collecting 1963 Dandy comics (I mostly collect the comics that I `used` to have circa 1961 - 71) So far got 39 1963 issues, 46 from 1964, 46 from 1965, 47 from 1966, 47 from 1967, 27 from 1968, 10 from 1969 and just 6 from 1970. Mostly getting them on E.Bay when I can.

Never ever use sticky tape! A general paper gum such as UHU works well for me.

Gosh! I had never heard of that one- I only knew the one in `Sparky`. You certainly learn things here!

Thanks Bri! Thanks to Rikk on this thread I was able to track Bob Mau via the `Lambiek` site on facebook. They run bios on many artists and I found out that the `Clever Claire` strip as `Kari Lente` ran from 1962 to 19994. You can get the collected adventures on E.Bay.

Well- Many people thought that `Dr Who` had gone for good in the 1990s- and `that` returned! Daresay it is probably more difficult with comics- but never say never!
