Re: A way to stop the bad sales
It just looks confusing and chaotic. It doesn't look attractive to me. It doesn't draw me in, it looks too much of a slog to get through: I like to scan through a strip easily and quickly but the composition to this strip comes accross to me like an assault course. It's probably an acquired taste [...

Re: Any Dandy Characters you DON'T like?
Okay, sorry for bringing this subject back from the dead but I have some opinions which I'd like to share. 1. Black Bob I never liked this comic strip, it was really boring. There was just something incredibly "lame" about it. Or though, I do recall enjoying 'Young Black Bob' drawn by one of my fav...

Re: A way to stop the bad sales
It's interesting how the Dandy isn't doing too well, down here in West Sussex I've seen a lot of kids and adults buying the Beano and Dandy (they once ran out of both (not that long ago either)). I don't see why it's done so badly, surely people would want a classic comic with lots of comic strips ...

Re: A way to stop the bad sales
I'm stuck in a 60s/70s timewarp regarding the comics material I own., Raven...so maybe it's just me. There's a Jamie Smart double-page strip that just has me scratching my head; I don't understand it, but it's not aimed at older fogeys like me. This strip has run for a year, so somebody must like i...

Re: A way to stop the bad sales
I wonder if we'll soon see "Great News folks, the Beano and Dandy are joining together to bring you all your favourite chums in one big comic!" Perhaps the Dandy will become an eight page section in the middle of the Beano. Regrettably, that wouldn't surprise me - and is a possible reason for the B...

Mike Pearse is in Holland? He's a great artist! Yes, Tom's Roger is in the 2008 annual and that was the reason why i thought he would be a good artist. However, i think his mum would look like Edd Case's mum and his dad would be unrecognizable.
