A rather large catapult on the cover of this weeks issue, made me smile as it is so old fashioned. Then I thought of such a weapon in the hands of today's youth.

The gift is branded with Agent Dog 2 Zero - who has only had cameos since the relaunch.

Next week, Andy Fanton brings back Thor Thumb!

Distributors/retailers must be very ham fisted in your neck of the woods Bri. Again, all the copies here seem fine (although Smiths did have them stacked upside down  )

really like this weeks royal wedding cover it reminds me of the 1981 royal wedding when the majority of ipc titles had royal wedding covers

Yeah, fair play to both Beano and Dandy for actually noting the event. Several Dandy stories referenced the wedding too (in the Beano, it was just Dennis).

I agree great covers...also nice Wedding themed stories inside as well...The Beano should have done more..

I always remember the Whizzer and Chips wedding theme one from 1981...I was 6 1/2 then..But do rememeber the day well...I was dressed for the street party as a King my sister a Queen for the fancy dress parade.. :)

The Dandy is just great well done to everyone...

Just love Jamies work...the big fight in the centre...Thingummy Blob and Desperate Dan are alway great...loved the flame thrower the wizard had and the beards catching fire
also Andy..Nigel..Phil..Lew..
also it has better page numbers than The Beano..also the content page with the Dandys issue different each week is just ace...might scan some together and do a blog post on it..very impressed and also love the blue blob characters roaming around the pages..reminds me of Amstrad Action mag that had an alien character through out the pages.. :)

Justin Beaver had a good gag with the turtle in the sewer I caught when I read again..
also liked the ramble in Dogs erm dogz..

I have to say The Dandy is the better comic at the moment..of course still buy The Beano..

I particularly enjoyed Harry Hill meeting Prof. Brian Cox in this week's Dandy. The character was very well done I thought.

My fears about the catapult free gift may have been realised as there was a report in yesterday's Sun about youths smashing dozens of street lamps with catapults. Coincidence?

:offtopic1: Hello, I'm new :D

Anyway, this week's Dandy was fantastic, very funny!

It was such a treat to once again see Wayne's Bananaman on the front cover. I like it when they put different characters on (I'm still waiting for a George VS Dragon front cover! ;) )

Best this week was either Arena of Awesome or George VS Dragon, both very funny! The worst was probably Korky (sorry Korky fans) and Freddy the Fearless Fly, Bone-O, Simples and Britain's NOT got Talent were also pretty poor...

Loved AoA with the wizard and the caveman! Some brilliant lines in this week's!

Also Justin Beaver was brilliant, with the help of Stu I found all the cameos, there were Olly the Octopus (Desert Island Dick), Foxy, Pop (As Mr Big) (Pop, Dick and Harry), Dragon (George VS Dragon), A 'borrowed' dodge book for Roger the Dodger and a Teenage Mutant Ninja/Hero Turtle under the drain (Rafael) Very good!
