Going back to Lew's coverage of John Burns' work for Diana, one other example I've noticed is an adaptation of Wilkie Collins' "Woman in White" which appeared in late 1968. The odd thing about this is that while the initial episodes were almost certainly produced by Burns himself the final instalments seem to have been completed in his style by a rather lesser artist. Does anyone know if Burns had an assistant during this period? For some reason I'm reminded of Martin Asbury by some of the faces.

Funny enough I'm going through my batches of 1960s Dianas (to sell - as they're just sitting there taking up space and gathering dust. If anyone is interested I'm listing them all at a starting price of 99p! )

I observed the same thing... Martin Asbury hadn't sprung to mind though i can see what you mean. The style which isn't obviously Burns does look like he had a hand in... perhaps pencils and/or colouring? Unless someone is trying to emulate his style...

Burns also did "Great Expectations' and 'Lorna Doone'. I'm going to scan those pages before I get rid though...

Other artists I've noticed are Bill Lacey (as already mentioned) and I think either Barrie Mitchell or Tony Harding were doing some material too.
