A couple of questions about "Island of Yum". When did it start and end, and was it always a serial strip? Although I remember little about it, I know I used to follow it because I recognize Splosh, the little whale who looks like a gonk bath sponge.

It started in 'Harold Hare' comic in 1962, finishing in Playhour comic in 1965 after the two had combined in 1964.
Originally in colour in 'Harold Hare', then black and white in Playhour.
