STORY 16
ISSUES 32-40 (1978)
"CINEMA SPY"
STORY:ANGUS P ALLAN
ARTIST:JOHN BOLTON

The O.S.I. suspects that an enemy agent is working within Director Karl Menningers' film unit.
Jamie Sommers is infiltrated into the organisation as a stunt woman scheduled to work with a wild and untamed black stallion named Satan.
Another excellent strip, both in art and story and strongly reminiscent of the television series.
The journey of the relationship between the film makers' wife, Louella Maguire and Jamie is especially well handled.
Whilst there would obviously need to be a discussion with Universal Studios, I see no real reason for these classic strips not to be reprinted and believe that it will eventually occur.

STORY 17
ISSUES 41-49 (1978)
" MUTATIONS"
STORY: ANGUS ALLAN
ART: JOHN BOLTON

Sent to Africa to investigate the mysterious silence of spy station G-12, set up to monitor a missile research units' activities over the hostile Mashona border, Jamie Sommers and Texan pilot Bill Naylor investigate.
A rather shocking story for Look-in that I re-read today and don't recall reading it when these issues came out but that was 47 years ago....
Blood is depicted, savagery is everywhere.....
The art is incredible as always.

STORY 18: " Genuine Kin"
ISSUES: 50-52 (1978) 1-8 (1979)
NB: A ten issue story, not eleven, as issue 6 and 7 are combined ie issue 6/7 on the cover. This was due to the strike action in the UK in late 78 through to 79 known as "The Winter of Disconsent".Issue 5 ,before the combined issue of which there would be more in 1979, is notable by being printed on very low quality paper in comparison to other Look-In issues.
SCRIPT: ANGUS ALLAN
ART: JOHN BOLTON (whose signature is all over the Look -in title in black pen on the copy that I have of issue 1 that I got from ebay ) !

Refused for promotion, O.S.I. agent Cole Hannan, turns renegade.
He finds a secret file on Jamie Sommers and decides to capture her and sell her to the enemy.
While investigating his apparent death, Jamie has a run in with the Sullivan Clan, hillbillies from a remote and lawless region known as Kicking Mule Mountain.
Beating their leader Black Caleb Sullivan in open combat she finds herself adopted by the clan.
Excellent art and a great story.

STORY 19: " The Lost City"
ISSUES: 9 - 21 (1979)
NB: An eleven part story, not thirteen, as issues 16/17 and 18/19 are combined.
STORY: ANGUS ALLAN
ART: JOHN BOLTON

Posing as an archaeologist determined to find the lost city of the Jackal Kings, Jamie is sent to Djeb-Al-Qurta , a town on the edge of the Saharah desert. No sooner does she arrive than there's an attempt on her life and she knows that her cover has been blown.

This is the very last Bionic Woman strip printed in Look-in magazine and this chronicle is now complete.

Jamie would however return the very next issue, along with a certain Colonel Steve Austin in "Bionic Action" which will be covered in this section soon.
