WHO WAS THIS CHARACTER?

The Character I want to find out about was in a late 1970's (possibly early 80's) comiche was a racing driver who was badly burned and scarred in an accident. he ended up doing all sorts of mad stunts in the hope that he would end hi life. a bit strong for a kids comic. Was it Death Wish? Appeared in Eagle?
I think the artist was Vanyo?

Definitely was 'Death Wish' drawn by Vanyo ... ...Started in'Speed' then joined Tiger when the two comics merged - then off to Eagle when they merged with Tiger - incidentally the poor scarred chaps name was 'Blake Edwards' if that helps. The gist of the story was he would take on any stunts etc as he looked so hideous he didn't give a damn if he died !!! Bit morbid but worked well ...
