I'm not trying to start any rumours or anything, I just thought I would post the actual weekly sales of The Dandy and The Beano combined (I can't get seperate figures), which is: 128196.

That's funny-a few months back the figures for the Beano were 170,000-isn't that strange...he probably just made it up.

Can you get other sales figures for other comics?

There is a gazetteer available at public libraries that lists newspaper and magazine sales. I can't remember its title, sadly, but some years ago I looked up the Beano and Dandy sales. The listing combines the two so you can't distinguish which sells more than the other.

I used a new service from Pick Me Up magazine (I do the comps in it), 82Ask.
You text them a question and they answer it.

Talk is that when they put cover-mounted toys on it doubles circulation. Have you seen the comic rack in Smiths? It looks like a toy shop with accidental comics attached.

If it true about it doubling in circulation, it's probably the occasional readers who usually only buy the comic when it's got a free gift. Didn't know there was so many of them! (I used to be one, especially when other comics such as Big comic were out)
