Jim - Did Don Lawrance not also draw "WULF the Briton" as well for a time (fill ins) just wondering as I have some Wulfs strips that I always thought were Don Lawrances work??

Hi. Hmmm... I'm not too sure.
Don Lawrence MAY have done fill-ins on Wulf the Briton.
I haven't got an extensive collection.
I'm trying to place him in the time-line.
I know he drew a similar series in either Lion or Tiger in the early sixties called Karl the Vikingbr>
I think it would be safe to say that Ron Embleton is regarded as the artist most people associate with the series.
Can anyone help?

Just as a sideline here.
If you're interested in a cheaper alternative to buying the original Express Weeklies, Marvel UK reprinted Wulf the Briton in one of their war orientated comics in the 80's.
I think it was Forces in Combat, or Valour.
I'm sure issues could be picked up for mere pennies.....

Jim - Ahhh you may be right then I though KARL THE VIKING and Wulf the Briton were the same strip re packaged - its the Karl strip I have a few of (From Smash)that Don Lawrence drew - sorry about that - good bit of info on the reprints I didn't know that - I'll look them out at Memorabilia in Glasgow on Saturday thanks for the help. It was indeed reprinted in Marvel UK's Forces In Combat - a few of which will be on sale when the Superhero Store opens in September!
