Has anyone else been for a rummage in their attic, or wherever else they keep their ‘stuff’ and found some things that they didn’t know were lost?
Looking for some missing issues of my original Marvel Transformers comics I came across;
6 copies of Sparky from 1971
10 Hotspur comics from 1971
Eagle issue 2 – 1982
Captain Britain issue 1 – 1978
3 TV Comics from 1983
2 TV Comic holiday specials (Pink Panther and top of an open-top bus)
3 Buster and Nippers from 1987
and 2 Busters from 1978
This was as well as nearly a full year of Mickey Mouse weekly from 1979 and some other oddments.
I think the Buster and Nippers were mine from new, but I must have purchased the other stuff from somewhere. Still, it’s like I have a new batch of stuff to read and it didn’t cost me a penny! Anyone else had any nice surprises when having a clearout/tidyup?

Re: What comics did you find today?
Pedantic nitpick: Captain Britain #1 was actually October 1976.
All my comics are either here in my study or downstairs lining the hall (there are too many boxes to keep them all up here-the ceiling isn't that strong). I did, however, find a Catweazle Annual in a box of junk in my dad's shed last week when helping him look for something else, presumably one I'd left at our old family home years ago which had simply gotten mixed up with his stuff when he moved to be nearer to us and just never got unpacked. My old Mego Soldier Ape figure (from Planet of the Apes) and a Corgi model of the Liberator were in the same box, along with several bits of 35 year old train set.

Re: What comics did you find today?
I found an anniversary (25th?) 2000AD from 2002 a while back, i don't even remember if it was me (who started buying it regularly in 2005) or my brother (who stopped getting it regularly in 1997) who bought that one.
Re: What comics did you find today?
I found a website which has scans of thousands of comics on it. I thought this was great and found loads of my old comic strips that I hadn't seen in ages, plus heaps of classic comics, mostly American but including 2000AD and Asterix and a little bit of Beano, and thought it was a good thing. I then mentioned this website, and possibly raved about it a bit, on another forum and very quickly turned myself into Public Enemy No 1 for encouraging illegal bootlegging. I even used this website in my comic art masterclass the next day, blowing images up on the big screen as illustrations. That led to me being accused of leading kids into bad ways, condoning piracy, oh all sorts of evils.
So I won't be mentioning that website on here. But before I saw the light I read a few dozen issues of The Spirit, Conan, Howard The Duck, Star Trek, Ghost Rider etc etc. Now feel guilty about it.

Sounds similar to The Beano Project, except that site is entirely UK comics - and definitely illegal, considering entire annuals are on there, let alone comics.

Re: What comics did you find today?
Yesterday, I went for a wander in downtown Finchley and did find two hardback reprints of Magnet from 1974. Might just have a wander down again next week if I have the pennies...
I started to say something sensible but my parents took over my brain!
Re: What comics did you find today?
I was clearing out some old comics from my loft last week (off to charity shop with them) and came across 11 issues of Scorcher ( and Scorcher and Score), all nice condition that I had forgotten all about (they were ina box with old CDs, records etc (also off to charity shop) so enjoyuing reading them were also a few 60s Busters in there also.
