My Hotspurs turned up and I had a nice bonus in that I got to eventually read the ending of the Mr Wakefield story for the first time in either text or pictures. I was quietly surprised at the ending and wonder if this was the same ending that was originally published.
I started to say something sensible but my parents took over my brain!

Picked up 7 BUSTER Annuals today.

1977
1982
1987
1989
1990
1991
1992

All the usual Humour & Adventure Strips until I came across this strip in the 1982 Annual, I thought was a bit odd. :?

A superhero strip? What's so odd about that, the Leopard of Lime Street is a superhero too.

It seemed odd to me put a 1964/65 strip in the 1982 Annual but I'm glad it isn't odd for you. because I'm feeling rather odd at the momment.

Yes, what's odd is using something so incredibly dated - even then - looking.

What adventure strips from the weekly are there? Is there an exclusive Leopardboy strip in each one?

Disappointedly their are no Adventure strips in the Following 'Buster' Annual
1992
1991
1990
1989

1987 Buster Annual

Only has a 8 page Leopard of Lime Street Strip.

1982 Buster Annual

Apart from 'Thunderbolt The Avenger strip' it seems like they really dug into their vast vaults, as a 'Partridge Patch' reprint from 'Jet' 29th May 1971 Issue.4 appears, as well as The Kids Of Stalag 41 from 'Jet'.

From the Annual

From Jet Comic only slight differences

1977 Buster Annual As you would expect tons of adventure strips.
Pete's Pocket Army
Charlie Pearce
Fishboy
Sammy Brewster's Secret Ski-Board Squad
Uncle Ironsides
Galaxus

This Brassneck clone was it ever in 'Buster'? it's not in the A-Z.
Digi investigate.

Thanks, Steelclaw. That Leopard From Lime Street strip looks good, but obviously the 1977 book is the best one. Fishboy looks good - and Ski Board Squad and Galaxus strips, too! I wonder if the Galaxus one's a reprint.

I think the the Galaxus is a reprint all though knowing me I'm wrong.

So 1988 Buster Annual could be the last Annual to have a Adventure strip in.

I just have the 1983 one, which has a 12 page Leopard from Lime Street strip drawn by Ron Turner.

I was working in Manchester this week and picked up the first instalment of Cinebook's 'The Chimpanzee Complex' from Forbidden Planet. One of the best Sci-Fi comics I have read for a few years and very much recommended.

Well done so 1987 is the last Buster Annual to have an Adventrue strip 'Leopard from Lime Street' just like the comic.
