I was surprised to see a book called The Dandy Collection on sale in Marks and Spencer today. A 96 page hardback full of reprints from recent Dandy Annuals of a few years ago I think. It's all relatively recent content, although that Charlie Grigg Dan/Korky image is from the cover to the 1985 annual. (None of the contents are that old.)
Only £5.
There's also a Beano one but my branch didn't have that.
From recent annuals? I probably already have it all then. I have all the 2000s annuals and most of the 90s ones for both titles (as well as a number of older ones).
8+ years? That's odd. Isn't the lower age bracket of the target audience lower than that these days?
Got one for Christmas (thanks to this thread). Loved it. Thanks, Lew.
In fact, my other half ordered the book from the M&S website and went to her local store to pick it up. However, when she went there, she found that they had got her both the Dandy Collection and the Beano Collection.
Not wanting both, she told the guy at the collections desk. Now he didn't even know that they were selling these books and so at that he told her not to worry as he would buy the Beano Collection book himself.
So both books found a home.
