Hi Ruth I've only just come across these posts about artists - and you already know the answers! This story is "Witch Hazel" from Tammy drawn by Giorgio Giorgetti, and this looks as if it has come from the full colour reprint in Katy comic, as does the Phillip Townsend strip "Combing Her Golden Hair" (which was rather boringly renamed "Comb Of Mystery" in Katy!).

In the Katy reprint of "Combing Her Golden Hair", some of the background signs had been re-written in Spanish, so I take it Katy was available in a Spanish version too?

Whoops, just noticed your images have Spanish speech bubbles! So did these come from a Spanish version of Katy, or were they just published in other Spanish comics? Are there any more stories or artists you need help identifying?

Maybe Katy reprinted the Spanish version, with the speech bubbles changed back to English? It would've been quicker and cheaper than recolouring the original English version.

Yes, this was rreprinted (the one of the comb as well) in a Spanish magazine from 1986 called Pecosa (Freckles), from MC Ediciones, as everything in the seventies and eighties comics, most of the contents were bought to IPC or later on, Thomson, even though some of them had been done by Spanish artists.

Hi Ruth... Just joined this web site. I am the son of Giorgio Giorgetti (1920-1982) and just came across your question. Yes I can confirm that it is his art work. He worked for IPC magazines/comics.....Tammy, Valient, June and School Friend and many others.
He also created characters such as Cat Girl, Mama'selle X, King Rat, House of Dolman and many others. I still have some of his original works, comics and 'Shilling' girl comic books which he illustrated. Hope this is of some help and further info regarding my father.
