Just wondering. Perhaps he could let us know, so that we can be really petty in return. Whatever he does, no doubt he never makes any mistakes...

Thanks Sam from DCT! Love the feedback. Of course I make ****ing mistakes, but I'm not running Britain's longest running comic. As I've stated on here before it just amazes me the sheer AMOUNT of sloppy mistakes which appear in the Dandy. I work in the publishing industry and read a hell of a lot of comics and magazines. I'm constantly amazed how the Dandy gets away with so many errors. Surely putting a character on the front cover and forgetting to put them in the comic is absolutely a 'sloppy mistake', what else would you call it? And, lest we forget, this has already happened TWICE this year alone. In an earlier posting I pointed out the catalogue of blunders the editor made last year. For instance, do you think accidentally re-printing the same strip with 12 months acceptable? I certainly don't. This is a comic forum. We're on here to discuss COMICS. We all have opinions, not all of them are going to meet unanimous approval (especially from the Dandy editor).

Why the personal attack when he is raising a legitimate query.Comics are a business and have to be run properly like any other.A cover is it's best form of advertising and if it is not truthful it does discourage further purchases.
There was only a certain amount of times as a child an exciting Neal Adams cover got me buying a duff DC Comic.

I quite agree. If this was a film forum and a new movie was released full of editing mistakes we'd quite happily discuss it here. Why can't I raise some very valid points about the bad production of a comic?

If so, every so often they run a strip describing the process of comic making. Read. Learn. Enjoy.

If not, is there anybody who hasn't realised that Wenker is unhappy with the Dandy?

Just because certain silly film fans tear into a director online it doesn't make it legitimate to make cowardly digs at The Dandy editor.

So many precious people on here (obviously from DCT). This is a FORUM, so if a comic fan wants to criticise a comic and its editor, let him! I think Wenker's criticism of errors in the Dandy is ABSOLUTELY valid. If I was the Dandy editor I'd be unhappy that mistakes kept happening and I'd keep my eye on the ball a bit more. Why aren't there similar mistakes in the Beano, for instance?

Believe me there have been. Some that put this one well in the shade. This is a forum. You're absolutely right about that. And so all sides may be heard. So when someone exercises their right to slag off the Dandy Editor over a relatively minor mishap, they shouldn't be surprised when someone else seeks to correct their misapprehension, and who better to do that than someone from within DCT. If you can't take the rebuttal then don't go hurling rude and ill-informed accusations in the first place.

Str8jakkit is right. Some fans think the freedom of constructive comment gives them the right to use a pseudonym to slag off people. IT DOESN'T.

I'm sure that W*nker Watson is also agreeing himself on this forum under different names in a vain attempt to back himself up.

You mention that you are disgusted that he has made two very stupid mistakes over the past year; that's over the course of editing 52 weekly comics, plus annuals and specials, dealing with endless scripts, subs, artists, proofing, picking up on the mistakes that you DON'T see, which I'm sure occur extremely often on a weekly mag, as they do on ALL magazines (spelling mistakes, grammer, late artwork, unfunny gags). You should try working for a publisher, then perhaps you might learn a little humility and gain a tad more respect for what I'm sure is a very stressful job.
