Agreed. If we use Thomsons' complete text story paper output for boys and girls as an example, the following book titles match up.
Adventure is a collection of stories for boys published c1938 by Shaw. The Rover by Joseph Conrad. The Wizard by H. Rider Haggard. The Blue Bird by Maurice Maeterlinck. The Vanguard by Arnold Bennett. The Skipper by Edith E. Cuthell. The Red Arrow by Jeff Rovin and Sander Diamond. The Hotspur by Alfred F. Loomis
Of course, to complete the set, we have the following.
The Big Four by Agatha Christie. The Big Five by Gunby Hadath.
So, is it definite that Barrie Mitchell drew "Give it to Gregory"? Was he that fast to be drawing "Jack..." & "Jimmy..." at the same time?
Also, I 'm looking for the writers of some new Eagle magazine strips. The brothers & The hand, both drawn by Vicente Vano I believe. The golden boy writer, that was drawn by Mike Western, plus the artist of Walk or die, when it stopped being a photostrip and continued as a classic comic.

OK, I found the info for the Eagle strips at comicvine. However, I think these two names were not real. The writer of Golden Boy is A. Power (Wagner ?) & the writer of Star Rider is G. Douglas (Wagner again or Alan Grant ?). Any thoughts?
OK, a couple of inquiries and I promise I won 't bother you for the next few weeks. I 'm looking for info on two strips from Victor and one from Wizard.
The first strip from Victor is a football story drawn by Neville Wilson in 1985 and lasted approx. 30 episodes. I just want the title.
The second strip from Victor is also a football story concerning a clumsy football player that creates chaos either for his team or the opponents', but the result ends up in his favour. This comedic story lasted 12 episodes, and I 'm looking for its title and authors.
The Wizard strip is an adventure story from 1984, concerning two journalists on the run from a dictator (if I remember correctly) and lasted 14 episodes. Its greek title was The Hunted, maybe the english title is similar. Again I 'm looking for its title and authors. If necessary I will post pictures for anything that doesn 't ring a bell...

Pictures please as they are tantalising my synapsis. I think I know two of them, but without pictures, I would be just guessing.

The only football serial of any significant length that started in The Victor in 1985 was The Goals Of Jimmy Grant. It ran from 1293 (Nov. 30 1985) - 1317 (May 17 1986). It was drawn by Neville Wilson. There was a second series in 1987.

What year did this serial appear in The Victor, please, ramirez.
That series of The Goals of Jimmy Grant was not drawn by Neville Wilson but by Tony Harding. Wilson however did draw, along with Peter Foster, We Are United which ran from 1288 26th October 1985 to 1317 17th May 1986.
