Hello steelclaw.
If the physical size of your avatar is within the 80x80 boundaries and the storage size is less than or equal to 10Kb, the problem could have something to do with where your avatar is actually hosted.
Avatars, on this forum, can only be uploaded from your own PC. I appreciate that there is a facility which allows you to use a 'remote' avatar, but I have currently disabledit.
The reason being is, back in December 2005 there was a problem within PHPBB forums that allowed hackers into any forum if BOTH these facilities were enabled. However, I've also been informed that the version of PHPBB that Comics UK is using is supposed to have the fix included. But I am just playing it a bit safe for the moment.
If what I've stated is the problem, can you copy your remote avatar to your own machine and upload it from there?
If this is not the problem, will you please supply any more information that may help me.
