I always enjoy seeing it on youtube now the BBC archive has some up..

really brings back my childhood..

Things were a lot more simpiler watching it back...a gentler style..

also none of these clips were really saved at the time..which is a shame..due to its live nature..being live made it the best feature..

On a similarly nostalgic theme, I like the new Specsavers Mister Men spoof (following on from the Postman Pat ad). Even the Arthur Lowe-style narration is almost spot on.

I haven't seen the Mr. Men advert on TV, but I have seen some of the posters. I have however seen the Postman Pat advert. I think it's really funny, because it is just like the original programme in its style.

I hadn't seen the Mr Men advert either... until half an hour ago. It's not as good as the Postman Pat one IMHO, the jokes all seemed forced (unwinding somebody's bandages just by walking past him - really? At least picking up a bag of veg instead of a bag of letters as Pat does is more realistic).

Also, Postman Pat does actually wear glasses so it's quite possible that he would sit on them and break them, and it's probably a better illustration of why he needs to go to Specsavers.

That's strue, but if they'd applied the same logic to their Thunderbirds ad, it would have featured Brains rather than Virgil, and wouldn't have been so action-packed.
