COLONEL BLINK AND BLINKY

A myopic character called Blinky has appeared in The Dandy for some years now. He's basically a teenage update of The Beezer's Colonel Blink. I wonder whether it has ever been mentioned that they were related, or whether the old Colonel has ever made an appearance in The Dandy? I know DCThomson have a habit of bringing back characters in a modified form.

In Beezer and Topper comic Colonel Blink had a nephew called Blinky...they did appear together for some strips...then it was just Blinky ...now in The Dandy the fairly new artist Nick B...draws it the Uncle aspect has been dropped.......or maybe it hasn't.......we just don't see those strips...

It mentions they are related on the Dandy website...and either just before or in the Christmas issue 2004, he says (whilst pulling a rug) "This'll be a nice jacket for Uncle Colonel Blink!"
