Time Out London today included a 4 page strip featuring Dennis and Gnasher to support the opening of Beanotown at the South Bank Centre.

We created a facsimile copy of the annual a few years ago. Using an original copy of the annual we cleaned up all of the pages. This was a limited edition of 2,000, selling at £20 per copy (trading on e-bay at £80 a piece within a few days).

The 10 pages were due to be released over a number of days.
This schedule was amended due to injury to Halle Salaisse who was meant to appear in the race. The last two pages were redrawn to 're-tell' the story.
Barrie Mitchell produced a total of 12 pages including re-draws.

Strangely no illustrator credit for Barrie Mitchell.
The reason for the 'tightly packing' was basically the strip was suppose to appear over 3 or 4 days. The cover was an after thought.
